Spaghetti Feed

Last term X58 put on an all you can eat spaghetti feed to raise money for the center for medically fragile children at providence children's hospital. I took the entire event on myself and poured my heart and soul into the entire thing. The night of I was incredibly nervous, making sure there was enough food and everyone was enjoying the Christmas music and finding a place to sit. We made a few announcements and gave away some fun prizes and right as I sit down to eat Jacob, who was helping me MC the event got on the mic and gave a prepared speech. He started talking about selflessness and giving, he mentioned kindness and heart. He was talking about me. At first I was embarrassed, and couldn't stop shaking my head at him in disbelief. As I choked down the spaghetti that was in my mouth, I stood up and turned towards everyone else. They were giving me a standing ovation, and the praise reigned down over me like rain. I have never felt such satisfaction in my entire life to know that friends and strangers alike joined for a common cause, a charity, would appreciate one man's efforts.

The "News"

Well, I'm not one for watching the news but I did find some sports news that really excited me. The Cleveland Cavaliers made a HUGE trade and while reading the story on Yahoo Sports I was continually amazed at what happened. First off superstar center Ben Wallace, BIG BEN, was traded! What the hell?! C'mon Chicago give him a chance... But the good news is that he gets traded to the Cavs! LeBron James and Big Ben! That sounds freakin' awesome right? RIGHT. I have to say watching James massacre other teams is like watching New England playing Miami. The feeling that something amazing could take place and you have no idea when it could occur is absolutely riveting.
